merry christmas!

Will loves Christmas and he doesn't even know about the gift part yet. My parents brought over tons of old holiday books and we've read each one a million times. He's been walking around repeating, "Ho, ho, ho, merry MISMUS!!"

not so sure about this

Will rubbing shoulders with the cooler, older kids: Dave and Liz's and Jim and Krista's boys. He had such a blast!

The last time we were in Minnesota, my dad and Mark took Will to see some tractors--he had a blast. Thanks for posting dad!

look who's bipedal

Idaho

Although it seemed like such a long journey to get there, we had so much fun at the cabin this year. It was Will's first time, and he loved it. The first night that we got there, he went right into the cold river and started dancing! I had fun introducing him to all the things I've loved from my own childhood.

It's for you!

first birthday

A week from today, our sweet little baby boy will be turning a year old! A year ago today, I never thought he'd arrive. We were so nervous! Now, we nervously watch as he blithely attempts his first unassisted steps.

I made these airplane cupcakes to go with the airplane decorations on the walls. Will's really into pointing at airplanes right now. You don't realize you live in a flight pattern until your one-year-old points out a plane flying overhead every few minutes.

We celebrated with Mark's family on Saturday. Will had a blast but didn't care much for the cake. We'll celebrate his actual birthday at the cabin in Idaho! Should be fun...

The vocals on this piece are really something.

summer fun!

Aunt Michelle and cousins Mason and Colin met us in the park.
Ready to go...to bad the sprayers broke shortly after Mason really started getting into it. He'll have to come back soon!
All of my pictures of Colin make it seem like he does nothing but sleep! But I got this little cutie to smile for me...was so great.
It's not easy keeping my pink-skinned baby out of the sun!
